PROJECT COSTS.

A lot of people ask if they have to pay before joining Volunteer Travel Project? The answer is Yes. We charge you a fee to take part in our projects. In return, we provide you with:

  • A world-class support network, before, during, and after your trip

  • A hassle-free project where everything is taken care of for you

  • A project where you can be confident that you’ll be making a positive change

How much does it cost to join?

All our projects require an initial deposit of £100 when you book which will be deducted from the total cost. The remaining balance must then paid before you depart.

The price of each project includes:

  • Accommodation

  • Three meals a day

  • Airport pick-up and drop-off

  • Full induction and orientation by an experienced staff member on arrival

  • In-country support and 24-hour back-up from our team of full-time local staff

  • Emergency assistance from our international emergency response team

  • A supervisor/mentor at your work placement

  • Training and workshops from our experienced local staff

  • Access to our local office with an internet connection

  • Certificate of completion

What is not included:

• Flights • Visa • Vaccinations (if applicable) • Travel insurance

 

N.B VTP can organise various trips for you to discover more of Ghana in your free time for an additional fee.

THE PROCESS.

STEP 1

Research

​

  • For your research, all volunteers are advised to explore, get informed and read more on the projects you would like to do and the country you will be travelling to.

  • Check your program fees and what is included in the program.

  • Contact us for more information or if you have any questions.

STEP 2

Application

​

  • Decide as to the project you will undertake and the date you will be travelling.

  • Complete the online application form or we can arrange for one to be sent to you by post and do not forget to pay the deposit fee.

  • We will get back to you within 10 working days.

STEP 3

Pre-Departure

​

  • With the help of our staffs, we will help you with your preparation.

  • We will provide you with detailed information regarding your Visa if we are helping you to get a visa to the country you will be travelling to.

  • We also advise you to consult your GP or health centre for up-to-date information about vaccinations.

  • Pay the rest of your program fees a month before departure.

STEP 4

Travel to the Country of your destination

  • Our staff in the country of your destination will meet you at the airport, welcome you and help settle in well.

  • Enjoy your experience, make friends, have fun, and work hard.

  • Return home, share your experience with others and inspire them to embark on a journey that will help change lives.
